This page sets out the work we will not take on and the standards we hold campaigns to. It exists partly because it is the right way to work, and partly because advertising platforms hold agencies responsible for what their clients advertise.

1. Sectors we do not work with

We decline engagements involving:

  • Adult content and services.
  • Gambling, betting, casinos and trading products presented as a route to easy income.
  • Weapons, ammunition and related equipment.
  • Recreational drugs, unregulated supplements and products marketed with unapproved health claims.
  • Multi-level marketing, matrix schemes and business opportunities whose income comes chiefly from recruitment.
  • Payday lending, debt relief schemes and high-risk financial products aimed at people in financial difficulty.
  • Miracle cures, unverified medical claims, and anything promising a guaranteed health outcome.
  • Any product or business model whose legality in its target market we cannot establish.

This list is not exhaustive. We may decline any engagement where we consider the offer misleading, the claims unsupportable, or the business model designed to exploit the people it targets.

2. Standards for the campaigns we do run

Every campaign we build must be able to survive being read carefully by the customer it targets. In practice that means:

  • Claims are supportable. Where an ad states a result, a saving or a benefit, there is evidence for it. Where a claim is a customer’s own, it is attributable and genuine.
  • No fabricated proof. We do not invent testimonials, results, review counts, follower numbers or scarcity. We do not write a review as though it came from a customer.
  • No false urgency. A countdown that resets, a stock level that is not real, a deadline that never arrives — none of it goes into a campaign we build.
  • Pricing is honest. The price advertised is the price payable. Recurring charges are disclosed before the customer commits, not after.
  • Targeting is responsible. We do not target vulnerable audiences with products designed to exploit that vulnerability, and we follow platform restrictions on sensitive categories.

3. Data and consent

Where a campaign relies on customer data — audiences, email lists, SMS lists, tracking — the Client must hold that data lawfully and with the consent the law requires.

We will not upload a purchased list, build audiences from data collected without a lawful basis, or send marketing to people who have not consented where consent is required. If we ask where a list came from, it is because we need the answer before we can act.

4. Platform policies

Every campaign must comply with the advertising policies of the platform it runs on. Those policies change often and enforcement is not always predictable. We will tell you when a brief is likely to breach them and propose an alternative that achieves the same objective within the rules.

We will not attempt to circumvent platform enforcement through cloaking, misrepresenting a landing page, running duplicate accounts after a ban, or any comparable technique. Beyond being against the rules, it puts the Client’s own account at permanent risk.

5. If a concern arises during an engagement

We raise it with you first and propose a way forward. Most concerns are resolved by changing wording or substantiating a claim. Where the concern is fundamental and cannot be resolved, we may pause the affected campaign or end the engagement under the Terms of Service, refunding fees for work not carried out.

6. Reporting a concern

If you believe a campaign of ours breaches this policy, write to info@marketeragency.online with the detail. We investigate every report and reply within 1 to 3 business days.
